Isabel Novela

Isabel Novela (Isa), was born on July,1st 1985 in Maputo/ Mozambique.

Music is her Passion.

She belongs to a musical talented family,she started singing when she was 5 years old.

Her brother Neco is the one who thought her how to sing and untill today he stills advices her vocal wise.

When she was 10 she recorded her first solo song, that made part in a childrens music CD compilation. Since 1997 she started singing as backvocal in different groups, singing different styles of music and rhytems, participating as well in recordings, festivals, TV programs ...

From 2002 she started writting and composing her own music. She recently recorded the album New Dawn with her 3 brothers and sister in Holland, check http://www.neconovellas.com/.

Now she is writting and composing songs for her solo album. Isabel would consider her music to be a mix of different styles, she's been influenced by such as Hip-Hop, R&B, Jazz, Rap ,Brasilian and roots music. When she sings she moves from one style to the other and she sings with her soul.
